Arganese Moves into Larger Dominican Factory

Posted: Wednesday, December 19, 2007

By Gregory Mottola

To increase cigar production, Dominican company Arganese Cigars has moved into a new factory in Tamboril, Dominican Republic. The company bought the factory in March and after an extensive refabrication has it running at full speed.

The 13,500-square-foot facility is located in the Dominican Republic's La Palma free trade zone. It employs 27 pairs of cigarmakers who produce 13,000 cigars a day, all for the Arganese brand. The company has closed its original, 4,000-square-foot cigar factory, which was also in Tamboril.
