Toraño 90th-Anniversary Humidor
Posted: Monday, May 14, 2007
By Gregory Mottola
As an incentive for retailers to order the Toraño Noventa cigar when it
was introduced at last year's Retail Tobacco Dealers of
America trade show, Toraño Cigars Inc. offered the first 200
accounts a large, custom-made display humidor.
Made in collaboration with designer Michael Giordano of Quality
Importers, the humidor looks like a museum relic
case. The top portion is made of glass designed to display
three boxes of Noventa, each containing a different size.
The middle portion has three lockable draws, each of
which holds 25 cigars in individual slats. The bottom portion
is a storage cabinet that can hold up to 14 cigar boxes.
Lined with Spanish cedar and finished in a French-antiqued
distressed walnut veneer, the unit stays humidified by a
Cigar Oasis system. The Toraño and Noventa brand
insignias subtly decorate the humidor, as they are either
painted on a wood surface or etched in the glass.
