Montecristo with Cameroon Wrapper

Posted: Monday, April 30, 2007

By David Savona

Following in the footsteps of the sold-out Montecristo Serie V, Altadis U.S.A. Inc. has released the Montecristo Serie C, the newest Montecristo cigar made with Cameroon wrapper.

Cameroon is a fickle leaf, and there has rarely been enough of it to meet world demand. It is grown not only in Cameroon, but in neighboring Central African Republic. The leaf is traditionally grown by family farmers on small plots of about one acre in size, which keeps production limited.
