Toraño Debuts 90th-Anniversary Cigar
Posted: Tuesday, February 13, 2007
By Gregory Mottola
After being in the tobacco business for 90 years, the
Toraño family commemorated the milestone with the
limited-edition Noventa cigar, which finally came to its first
retail shops at the end of December. The brand was originally
slated for a September release, but aging the tobacco
took longer than Toraño Cigars Inc. president Charlie
Toraño had expected. Toraño also purposely put a cap on production, limiting his factory rollers to no more than 250 cigars per day in order to maintain quality and consistency,
delaying the release date.
