Cigar Pillows

Posted: Tuesday, June 13, 2006

By Michael Moretti

Ever have that dream that you never want to wake up from, where you are bedded down with a huge cigar, giant bottle of vodka and immense martini? Right…us neither, but it doesn't sound half bad, does it?

Sofa Garden Inc. does carry the assortment of frilly, fluffy cushions you might see on the couch outside Rachael Ray's kitchen. But it also carries a line of pillows shaped and stuffed into brown, velvety Churchill-, corona-, robusto- and presidente-size "cigars" that may suit the couch's leather arm in your smoking room.

The pillows, stitched with microsuede and satin fabrics show attention to detail that an aficionado would appreciate. Banded and labeled, some pillows feature a dark maduro fabric while others are lighter natural or redder Colorado fabric. The "caps" are varied as well, with some sporting a figurado head while others are rounded off. Resist the temptation to light one up.

The cigars are part of the Martini collection, which is where the booze comes in. The spirits side of the bedding features a Martini glass with an olive, a giant olive by itself, a vodka bottle and a shaker. Keep out of reach of tired children. Pillows range in price from $34.99 to $99.99.

Call 866-589-1421 for more information. Shipping charges apply and there's a 30-day return and refund policy.
