A Classic Cutter from I.M. Corona

Posted: Monday, March 06, 2006

By David Savona

A cigar smoker without his cutter is like a cowboy without a six shooter -- unarmed. That's a bad way to be. The Colt of the cigar world is the double-bladed guillotine cutter. This beautiful model from I.M. Corona deserves to be named a classic.

In very unscientific tests by Cigar Aficionado editors over the years (translation: smoking copious amounts of cigars) the I.M. Coronas have stood the test of time. Thousands of cuts haven't dulled the blades or impeded the cutter's trademark, smooth spring-loaded action, which lets the blades slide smoothly together to cut the head of a corona.

The cutters retail for $39.95, and are available in black. They're available at most tobacconists, or call Savinelli at 919-481-0511 to find a retailer near you.
