Camacho Contest

Posted: Monday, June 27, 2005

By David Savona

If you've ever dreamed of working for a cigar company, and coming up with a snazzy name for a new release, here's your chance. The Eiroa family, makers of the Camacho brands of cigars, have a new addition to their Camacho line. They know the box and label will have a black motif, but they haven't decided on a name. And this is where you come in.

"Our idea with this other Camacho, this unnamed one, we're trying to come up with a product that we can supply a lot of demand," said Christian Eiroa, president of Caribe Imported Cigars, which distributes the Honduran-made brand. "We have enough to make about two million of these a year. It's a leaf grown on a small farm in the middle of nowhere."

The person who wins the contest will receive a trunk filled with 365 cigars from Caribe. To enter, email your choice of name to: camacho????@camachocigars.com. The deadline for entries has been extended from July 8 to September 1.
