Tip of the Week

Q: There are fewer and fewer places left to smoke, but in the few places still available, what is the best way to handle complaints from non-lovers of the leaf?

A: To begin with, share your cigar smoke only with those who appreciate it.

The company of fellow aficionados will enhance your pleasure; the company of people intent on harping at you will not. Consult our Cigar Bar Central index so you will know where to find the best places to smoke in public.

Avoid smoking in confined spaces when you can (the elevator is always a bad idea). Even if you smoke in a well-ventilated public place where smoking is permitted and someone politely complains, it may be easier for you to move than to assert your rights.
