General Cigar Announces T-Bird Winner

An unassuming visit last September to the Macanudo American Passion Tour bus proved auspicious for Robert Davis Sr. of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Davis's entry form filled out on that day -- one of more than 12,000 submitted during the bus's yearlong tour of the United States -- enabled him to become the grand prize winner of a new 2004 Ford Thunderbird.

Davis, was notified of the prize in January, said that it took a few days for the news to sink in. The $42,000 automobile was delivered to him two weeks later.

The Tour bus, which is also a veritable cigar lounge, stopped in 200 cities across America in 2003. Davis had filled out his entry form during a stopover at Nick's Cigar Shop in North Myrtle Beach.
