Gift Boxes for Perdomo Squared

Posted: Tuesday, April 08, 2003

By Michael S. Marsh

Tabacalera Perdomo S.A. has released a special-edition gift box containing a sampling of the most popular sizes in its Perdomo2 line. Each box is signed by the Miami-based company's president, Nick Perdomo Jr. The boxes, only 1,000 of which will be released, are individually numbered.

Inside each box are five cigars in each of the following Perdomo2 sizes: Exponente (6 inches long by 43 ring), Rhombus (5 by 54), Descartes (7 by 50), Torfecto (5 by 54) and Milenario (6 by 55).

At press time, the company said it had shipped more than 600 of the boxes to retailers; the remaining ones are expected to be shipped quickly. Because of the cigars' limited availability, some consumers may find them difficult to locate one for purchase.

Half of the Perdomo2 gift boxes will contain cigars in the natural version, featuring cigars wrapped in a Cameroon wrapper. The cigars in the other 500 boxes will have a triple-fermented maduro wrapper grown in Nicaragua. All gift boxes will retail for $39.99.
