Felipe Gregorio's Mystic Offering

Posted February 13, 2001, 11:15 a.m. e.s.t.

Felipe Gregorio Inc. has expanded its line of blue-band cigars by adding Mystic Knight, its first box-pressed cigars.

Released in February, the Mystic Knight cigars feature an extra leaf of ligero compared to regular Felipe Gregorios, which adds a potent element to the smoke. Brand owner and company president Philip Wynne describes the cigars as full bodied. (Wynne is known for his full-bodied smokes, such as the Don Melo Centenario.) The cigars are 6 1/2 inches with a 55 ring gauge.

The new size was named for a smoking society that meets in Prince Philip's, a Denver tobacconist. Wynne was recently made an honorary member, and was asked to make a larger, robust cigar.

Mystic Knight cigars retail for $8.70.
