"My favorite cigar size is robusto," says Nestor Plasencia Jr., who makes cigars with his father in Honduras and Nicaragua, and is one of the biggest growers of fine tobacco leaf in the world. "I think the ring gauge of the cigar allows you to make a good blend—you can put a certain amount of tobacco [in] to get complexity. And the length fits me," he says with a laugh. "I'm not a big guy."
