Miami's Jose "Pepin" Garcia, maker of Don Pepin, enjoys his cigars thick and short. His preferred smoke is a robusto. "Here are the reasons," he says. "It is easier to smoke than other cigars, and because [of] the size of the ring you have enough room for the complete blend. I mean all the leaves conforming [to] the blend." He also believes that when smoking a large numbr of cigars in a day, as is his custom, the robusto "is perfect to taste the flavor and quality of each cigar."
